Tiger King star Joe Exotic AKA Joseph Maldonado-Passage is currently serving a 22-year prison term for killing five tigers and plotting to have rival Carole Baskin killed.
But that hasn’t stopped the former exotic zoo owner from fighting back after Baskin was awarded Maldonado-Passage’s GW Exotic Animal Memorial Park by a US judge.
The Independent received a curious message from Exotic’s legal team claiming that they, “acknowledge it is truly time to pray for justice for George Floyd’s family as well as an end to systemic racism in America”.
The note then immediately pivots to, “we must address Carol [sic] Baskin’s treachery before it goes unchecked.”

“As hard as this news is, we refuse to accept defeat. Even as we type this message, Joe’s legal team is filing appeals and his social media/PR team are rallying public support.”
Baskin has previously sued Maldonado-Passage for trademark and copyright infringements and won a $US1 million (NZ$1.45m) civil judgment against him.
Last week’s judgment found that ownership of the GW Exotic Animal Memorial Park was fraudulently transferred to Maldonado-Passage’s mother in an attempt to avoid paying the judgment.
