For over five years, the CIA developed “Operation Acoustic Kitty” at the cost of about $20 million to train cats to be cold war spies. A California otolaryngologist worked with the CIA Science & Technology Department team turning cats into walking transmitters. The team would train the cat to move using ultrasonic sound.
